This is the second incarnation of 'TIMRaD,' the 'TI-99/4A Modules, ROMs and
Disks' 'Zip' file. Called 'TIMRaD2.Zip,' this file is intended for those
running the TI-99/4A emulator, 'V9t9.'

In addition to a collection of 83 application, educational, game, programming
and utility Command Module(tm) images, the archive contains 15 diskette
images, the ROM and GROM images of the TI-99/4A and its Disk Controller,
Memory Expansion and RS-232 Interface peripherals, and, most importantly for
some of you, instructions on getting 'V9t9' v6.0 up and running.

'TIMRaD2.Zip' contains many more module images than were included in the
first archive, including the addition of many more educational modules,
thanks to the contributions of TI-99/4A users around the world. Education is
still an area where the TI-99/4A can be most useful, even today. However,
unlike the first 'TIMRaD' file, which contained every disk image I could get
my hands on, this archive contains only the bare necessities which are needed
to run the command modules, in addition to a few extras that I felt would be
interesting or useful. The reason for the reduction in disk images from the
first 'TIMRaD' file is the growing number of ftp file areas on the Internet
which are dedicated to the TI-99/4A, including one which has an entire CD-ROM
of TI-99/4A-related files online, and ready for download. Once you have
'V9t9' v6.0 up and running, you can put together as many disk images as you
desire, from the diverse and growing TI-99/4A presence on the Internet.

In this archive, the disk images are contained in the 'Disks' subdirectory,
and have the '.Dsk' extension, while the collection of Command Module(tm)
images are in the 'Modules' subdirectory, and have the '.Bin' extension. The
ROM images from the TI-99/4A and its peripherals are found in the 'ROMs'
subdirectory.

Here is a description of the files in the main directory:

'Apps.Bat,' 'Apps.Cnf' and 'Apps.Inf' are the files necessary to run the
application Command Modules(tm) that are included in this archive, while the
file 'Apps.Txt' contains explanations of and copyright information about
these modules. Simply type "Apps" at the DOS prompt to run the modules.

'Disks.Txt' contains explanations of all of the Disk images included in this
archive.

'Edu.Bat,' 'Edu.Cnf' and 'Edu.Inf' are the files necessary to run the
educational Command Modules(tm) that are included in this archive, while the

modules. Simply type "Edu" at the DOS prompt to run the modules.

'Games.Bat,' 'Games.Cnf' and 'Games.Inf' are the files necessary to run the

commissioned by Texas Instruments, while the file 'Games.Txt' contains

'ReadMe.Txt' is the file that you are busy with.

'TI-Games.Bat,' 'TI-Games.Cnf' and 'TI-Games.Inf' are the files necessary to

information about these modules. Simply type "Utils" at the DOS prompt to
run the modules.

'Apps.Ico,' 'Edu.Ico,' 'Games.Ico,' 'TI-Games.Ico' and 'Utils.Ico' are Icon
files suitable for associating with 'Windows 95''s 'Start Menu' shortcuts.
These shortcuts would point to the 'Apps.Bat,' 'Edu.Bat,' 'Games.Bat,'
'TI-Games.Bat' and 'Utils.Bat' files, respectively. It is recommended that
you name your shortcuts 'Applications,' 'Education,' 'Games,' 'TI Games,'
and 'Utilities.'

'Help.Txt' contains instructions which are aimed at those people who may
have been having trouble with getting 'V9t9' up and running. The file
attempts to guide the user through the process of installing 'V9t9', running
the demonstration files that come with 'V9t9,' and installing and using the
'TIMRaD2' archive of Texas Instruments TI-99/4A Command Module(tm), GROM and
ROM, and diskette images.
